Apple/Macintosh User Group for Dallas, Fort Worth, the Mid-Cities and North Texas

The Apple Corps of Dallas (ACD) is the oldest1 Apple Computer User Group still in operation, established in January of 1978. Our members are primarily from the Dallas and Fort Worth metroplex area. Our aim is to provide you with the latest information on your computer, to offer help in solving problems, to present forums for discussion, and to provide a protected resource of files for your downloading pleasure. Membership contributions are tax deductible.

Special Announcement: Our next meeting will be our big release of FORUMS!!! Come find out all about it. Brian Hamm will be our presenter. This should be quite a new learning tool for all members! The main meeting is at 9am! And don't forget to attend our Special Interest Group meetings.

Mission Statement

The Apple Corps of Dallas (ACD) is a Texas organization. The basic purpose of ACD is to promote and encourage the education, training and understanding of its members and guests in the use of microcomputers in homes, schools and businesses. ACD is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and membership contributions and donations are tax deductible. ACD is not affiliated in any way with Apple Computer, Inc.

Spam Filtering

Mail Deflector ACD operates our own BBS and e-mail system. The software is called "FirstClass" and it is free and available to all active members. Mail Deflector is a company that provides us spam filtering to reduce the amount of junk mail we receive in our e-mail boxes.
